Abstract: Harrison A. Williams, Jr. (1919 - 2001) represented New Jersey in the U.S. Senate from 1959 until 1982. He also served in the House of Representatives from 1953 through 1956. The papers consist of materials accrued during his life as a historian of the United States, New Jersey, and Rutgers University, and his academic and administrative career at Rutgers University.
